Program Director
 

My name is Derrick Boateng, and I serve as the Program Director for DFW Spartans Athletics.
 

I have been coaching youth sports for over a decade, and I have a true passion for developing young athletes — whether they are brand new to the game or already experienced competitors. My goal has always been bigger than sports. I want to help athletes build confidence, discipline, character, and a strong foundation they can carry with them beyond the field or court.
 

As a former athlete, I was blessed to play arena football for over 5 years, along with semi-pro football. Those experiences taught me the importance of hard work, preparation, toughness, and having the right people around you.
 

Growing up, I was inspired by my neighbor, Mr. Marcus. He may never fully know how much he impacted me as a young boy who simply loved football and wanted a chance to play. Whenever he had the opportunity, he coached me, mentored me, and helped fuel my love for the game. That support stayed with me, and I truly believe it is now my duty to do the same for the next generation.
 

DFW Spartans Athletics was created to provide support, structure, and opportunity for young athletes who have the desire to compete, grow, and chase their dreams. I was not fortunate enough to have access to many resources like this growing up, which is why I firmly believe it is my calling to help mentor athletes from all backgrounds.
 

This program is about more than winning games. It is about building young men and young women, creating positive memories, and helping every athlete understand that with discipline, effort, and the right support system, they can become more than they ever imagined.
